Demand Builds, Book Goes into Second Printing

Jefferson WI, 1/08/2010---Following a rapid series of events over the Christmas and New Years Holidays, "Nutterville…" author Faye Ellen Kufahl is delighted to announce that due to accelerated demand, her book is now into it's second printing, with delivery expected in mid-January, 2010.

While Kufahl's highly successful "Homecoming Tour" in December ratcheted up demand for her book, a front-page feature article in Fort Atkinson's Daily Jefferson County Union, on December 24th, was picked up on January 2nd by the Associated Press news-syndicate, effectively giving "Nutterville…" it's first nation-wide exposure. The initial article, by Daily Union staff writer Pam Chickering-Wilson, was covered in varying degrees and carried by newspapers across the country, including USA Today and the Saint Paul Pioneer Press, The Chicago Tribune and many others.

An additional boost to coverage was provided on December 28th, when Faye was interviewed on Wisconsin Public Radio's Joy Cardin Show. Callers lined up early in the show, eager to share their own stories and to open a dialog on mental health issues. The crying need for these types of discussions quickly became apparent as the phone lines remained lit right to the shows end.

"Triumphant Homecoming Book Tour"

Jefferson WI 12/24/2009---In a "Homecoming" tour that was nothing short of spectacular, Faye Kufahl made a triumphant return to her native Wausau Wi as part of the media events leading up to her well-received book signing appearance for her book "Nutterville…and Other True Stories of Coping with Mental Illness" at the venerable Janke's Book Store, in downtown Wausau on Saturday, December 19th.

Old friends and many of Ms Kufahl's large, extended family were drawn to the book signing as a result of having seen her being interviewed by Bao Vang on Thursday's early morning TV show on Wausau Channel 7, or after hearing her entertaining interview with Pat Snyder on his Friday morning talk show on WSAU Radio 550AM. Others had seen the write-up about Faye in the City Pages, Wausau's Alternative weekly newspaper, or had read the notice of the Janke's event in Friday's Wausau Daily Herald.

In the end, after her 3-day "tour" of Wausau, Ms Kufahl's book had sold just over half of the initial 250-book first print run, prompting a second, larger printing to be ordered. The larger second printing was also ordered in anticipation of Faye's upcoming December 28th appearance on Wisconsin Public Radio's Joy Cardin Show, from 8-9am that day.
